New position in UCEF – Donor Relationship Manager
Position Reporting Structure
Reports to Chief Operating Officer
The Donor Relationship Manager is responsible for working closely with his or her assigned base of donors to maintain consistent levels of gifting and develop relationships that foster increased donations to UCEF to support the mission of the Ukrainian Catholic University. The DRM will seek out new donors with capacity to gift at a level of $5,000 or more annually, while developing a strategy for increasing gifts from assigned top donors and prospects.
Primary Position Responsibilities
Meet or exceed annual donation revenue goal as agreed with the Chief Operating Officer
Identify and cultivate new major donors, and maintain effective relationships with existing major donors to ensure consistent and increasing gifting.
Develop strategies and plans for significant contribution towards annual major donor revenue goals as defined in UCEF’s annual business plan.
Within 45 days of hiring, and thereafter by December 15 of each calendar year, prepare an individual written business plan that sets forth a specific individual total fundraising goal for 2016 (and for each succeeding year thereafter). The individual total fundraising goal shall also be allocated among other fundraising initiatives. The individual business plan shall, at a minimum, also set forth donor maintenance activities planned in each year, projected plans and strategies for obtaining new major and mega donors, projections for other fundraising opportunities and business strategies for performing the responsibilities of this position.
By December 15 of each calendar year (beginning with December 15, 2016), submit a written self-evaluation outlining the status of achieving the individual business plan and all other responsibilities of this position.
Encourage to the extent possible donations for unrestricted use by the Ukrainian Catholic University (UCU).Attend local functions, events, parish gatherings, business networking functions that create brand awareness and identification of new donor prospects. Maintain positive relationship with donors, in person, over the phone, by email, etc.
Safeguard UCU’s image, and work to maintain and increase awareness of UCU and UCEF brand awareness.
Work with the Chief Operating Officer and Data Base Administrator to obtain a full understanding and use of the donor data base system for recording all donor contact. Adherence to proper and timely record entry is essential.
Assist Chief Operating Officer and UCU Development Department with UCEF / UCU sponsored and approved events.
Adhere to expense budgets and procedures as outlined by the Chief Operating Officer.
Develop a written strategy for top donors and prospects designed to solicit increased gifting levels for review with the Chief Operating Officer. Adhere to and adapt as necessary best practices with respect to all donors in his or her assigned donor base, with active, positive and constructive follow-up.
Collaborate with Chief Development Officer as required by Chief Operating Officer and UCU Development Department on major donor gift solicitations.
